I love it when non-media companies get into the media business.
I just read of another case in point – right across the street from Idea City, the folks at Whole Foods have entered the music business. It all sprung from a beautifully simplistic, non-scientific insight:
"…Whole Foods seems to have a disproportionate amount of fans among musicians…"That's what we hear over and over: 'I'm one of your customers.' "
Starbucks may be the third place for the majority of us – Whole Foods seems to be the third place for musicians.
